Blueyou’s Artesmar program identifies responsibly harvested seafood species across the Philippines’ archipelago and establishes transparent, traceable supply chains into local retail, hospitality and food service markets.

The fundamental basis of Artesmar is a risk-based methodology which is assessing species environmental risks. Only species which match minimal risk thresholds are eligible to be marketed under the Artesmar program.

Artesmar exclusively works with community-based fisheries and farming operators and is supporting their efforts in becoming compliant with local regulations and harvesting high quality seafood products.

As important element of legal compliance and transition towards sustainable management, Blueyou is developing and implementing traceability solutions across local supply chains.

Improving post harvest handling, safeguarding proper chilling of the catch and securing food safety across the supply chain, are further important elements of the Artesmar program.

Artesmar collaborates with other local initiatives such as Better Seafood Philippines (BSP) and the Sustainable Seafood Partnership (SFP) for promoting more responsible fisheries and transparent supply chains in the Philippines.

Blueyou’s Artesmar program is specifically developed for responsible seafood sourcing in the Philippines. The underlying policy and standard defines the requirements and criteria for commercialization.
